Derby in Derbyshire,
The towns along the Derwent valley played host to the World Changing “Industrial Revolution” though not exclusively it was an early major player.
Where muscle gave way to using power; water first later steam and onwards, cottage industry became factory Industry where tools gave way to machines.
Ironically you would think Derbyshire would be poisoned, but Derbyshire is a National Park where people come for the natural beauty amidst historic industrial icons.
